KCBS is reporting that Peter "Byorn" Ragone has finally copped to using all those fake names and admitted that all the postings as "John Nelson" and others was him. He also said he wouldn't do it again and would only post under his real name. We wonder if that means he'll go as "Peter Ragone" while posting on MTV's "Sweet Sixteen" message boards.
Eh, we made that up.
Barbara Taylor actually got a hold of Gavin at some Global Climate Summit (probably the one about what to do with all the reservoirs and our lack of rainfall) who said that he "was not pleased" with Byorn's commeting, but that "it's a trivial matter." Especially-- and he actually sort of says this-- compared to such matters as Global Warming. Which is true, but nowhere near as much fun.
Anyways, we'll bring you updates as they happen, when they happen.

Am I misreading Gavin's response? Did Mayor Newsom really say that it's a trivial matter Mr. Ragone has admitted to being dishonest?
A Lie is only bad when you get caught...in politics!
Stop being mean to Peter Ragone. He has super powers, just like those guys and gals on "Heroes." His power is to take molehills and make them into mountains!
for someone admitting to something, he sure denied it an awful lot.
on tape. to people's faces. to journalists he works with every day.
i don't think this is over yet.
Absolutely not. Absolutely not.
This kind of behavior filters down from the top.
Anyone who has ever been involved as a volunteer in a campaign against Newsom knows this is just the way he does business......
Hey Jon!!! This is really, really, really funny!!
Here is a quote from Noyes' blog from someone claiming to be a US Congressman's press secretary who swears by Pete Ragone's so called integrity (before he was caught lying to reporters ON CAMERA!!! ) Google 'daniel kohns'...
quote...A political communications professional, I have counted Peter Ragone as a friend and trusted colleague for many years. In that time, I have not once witnessed him so much as skirt the ethical boundaries of his profession. I would expect the media of as sophisticated a city as San Francisco to spend their time covering truly substantive issues with the intelligence their readers/viewers deserve, rather than stoop to such a level of "gotcha" tabloid journalism.

Hey, Alex Tourk just quit for "personal reasons"
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Hey, thanks for playing, Peter.
It's more fun when the fish fights on the hook.
Yeah well if you want to keep your staff you shouldnt f#ck their wives....
Business as usual. you could really see this all coming and the only suprise for me is that it took this long......
Not as important as global warming? This, from the guy who goes into a coffee shop that offers mugs, sits down and drinks coffee from a disposable f**king cup?
Gavin Newsom is about as green as my dog's asshole.
So I guess he's saying he plans to address Ragone's misdeeds the same way he approaches global warming: by ignoring it.
Poor Peter, poor Alex, didn't you see it coming when you had to deflect inquiries and cover for accusations regarding another "missus" employed at city hall that Gavin might have taken a liking to? I can already see the next tell-all "film" starring S.F. Only question, will they film it at T.I. or the Armory? Either way, she'll try to take the credit for the increase in local biz ;->
This whole Gavin/Peter/John/Jonel/Joniel/Alex thing is like the politics of Peyton Place. I, personally, take great joy when someone as, well, idiotic, as Ragone is hired to be the mouthpiece for someone as, hmmm, airheaded as Newsom. Confederacy of dunces!
The contest seems to be between Willie and Gavin, who is the worst mayor ever? Just because Willie could pull off amoral so much more effectively, Gavin seems to be pulling into the lead.
Rob
I love Peter, Byorn & John!
Someone yesterday asked if Mayor Newsome slept with/had and affair with Peter Ragone's wife. Does anyone know if there is any truth to this?
Absolutely not. Absolutely not. And if you liked that one check out:
"I had no idea." "How could I have known?" (from Beyond Chron). Go to Beyond Chron dot org and put in Peter Ragone TIC as a search value.
