We know the question you always ask yourself, each day in the morning when you rise and trudge miserably to your job at the cheesecake factory (not the restaurant, but the actual industrial complex in South San Francisco where they make the cheesecakes):
Why does no one understand my deep abiding love of the ukulele?
Oh but someone does. Uke Apocalypse takes the balcony at Isotope Comics tonight at 8pm, performing selections from Purple Rain and Ziggy Stardust to throngs of screaming fans. Or is that screaming fans in thongs? Both, hopefully.
And for fans of the woodsman sciences, a special treat: one of the band members plays the saw. Whoo!

Dear mattymatt: Thanks for the heads up on this event. I wandered over there last night and it turned out to be one of the most charming parties/concerts I've ever attended in the Hayes Valley neighborhood. I just put up photos of the evening over at "Civic Center."
