Help me out here. "Rolling 20 deep"? What does it mean?

Something to do with hip hop? Is this the lexicon of Chaka Khan?

I visited San Francicso to do work for 106.9 Free FM twice over this past summer; I found the city to be a great place to visit. I stayed at a place on Telegraph Hill, just blocks from where the choir kerfuffle went down, which is why the story initially caught my attention.

The story does seem to be getting some momentum. I've heard discussions of it in the media. Here in Atlanta. A blue city in a red state. I'll be curious to see just how big it gets. Hm.

I'd love to see protests in the street over this, with Fong being forced to resign, and a real chief, a cop's cop (like Bratton, Kelly, or Timoney) come to town and clean up the mess that is the SFPD.

The citizens deserve better, the cops who aren't lazy, incompetent, or deadweight deserve better. Gavin's got to grow a pair and get Fong out.

No one wants to see SF become another Oakland, or Newark, but this is how those problems can start.

I hope that little Dickie Aicardi gets jammed up on this big time, both criminally and civilly.

But Nancy has picked some odd battles in the last few days (Nance, focus on the surge/escalation). I hope the start of her term isn't remembered for her demanding that gates be locked and teens shouldn't get into accapela hate crimes.

This is going to get a lot worse really fast. At a time when the new Speaker is from San Francsico and is already taking crap from people on the Other Side for the "crime" of being from San Francisco, and when there's been so many questions raised regarding public safety in SF, this is going to blow up.

The usual press releasee/conference routine isn't going to cut it. And you can bet the new Speaker of the House and California's Senior Senator aren't happy about this.

I can see the direct mail now - picture of the poor kid with a broken jaw and the headline "San Francisco Values - Beaten Up For Singing the National Anthem" and endless simliar nonsense....sigh....

Is anyone making T-shirts with "I'm rolling 20-deep. My boys are coming" on them?

What about a picture of a leather daddy with a bull whip depicted with that caption, with the word "MY" in all caps?
