I've Got a Brand New Pair of Roller Skates

EMBRink.jpgFrom SF Party Party comes word that a movement is afoot to make the ice skating rink at the Embarcadero a permanent thing. In the winter, it'll be an ice skating rink and during the spring and summer, a roller rink.

Ahhh....roller rinks. If they play "Waiting For a Girl Like You" and all the girls wear leg warmers, it'll be like 7th grade again.

The idea behind all of this is David Miles, the "GodFather of Skating." His thinking is that the ice skating rink is already pretty popular, they can't think of anything else to put at that spot, and who doesn't want to skate? We think this idea pretty much rocks.

Aaron Peskin and Chris Daly have already said they'd be down for it too so all that's needed to do is a little bit more campaigning to get it to happen. SF Party Party is asking everyone to drop a line to the Board of Supes and so are we. You can drop them a line by clicking here.
