Three quakes all in the same spot! This morning's 9:20 a.m. tremblor was -- you guessed it -- around the same magnitude (3.5 this time) and around the same spot as the other two quakes we had earlier this week. Report it here (and commenter someone, we checked the link this time.)
The Chron included a helpful link to a Google map of the area (why didn't we think of that?), which shows that the epicenter was between Ashby Ave. and Highway 24, right off Claremont Avenue. On the bright side, the brunch line at Rick & Ann's might be shorter today as a result. (We're also wondering how the quake affected the folks camping out in the trees by Mem Stadium. Stay safe, protestors!)
As for whether or not this means something, your guess is as good as ours. On the one hand, probably not a good sign to have a little cluster of quakes all in the same area, right? On the other, is it maybe good to get the pressure off in one area to buy us some more time before the Big One? Seismologists, enlighten us!

I don't know about you guys, but I'm checking on my emergency food/water supplies this weekend. That one last night felt stronger than a 3.7 to me and 3 quakes in 4 days in the same spot is just freaky even if it means nothing seismologically speaking. (anyone know what it means seismologically speaking?)
Just had a 4.1 at 7:43 PM in Palm Springs. We're starting to shift again.
i live in the outer richmond, and i felt that one.
i kind of like the smaller quakes.
That last one hit today at 5:37 am, Thursday, December 28th. It was a microquake less than 3., but a little more than 2. on that Richter Scale. Hope they keep getting smaller so the big one doesn't happen.
