Hot Stuff: Food Blog Round Up

Drinks and dessert first, are you ready? Affogato (ice cream and espresso) is one creamy-cold-sweet-meets-warmth drink we love to sip and serve. We think Chubby at Bunrab's on to something seriously great with the I forgotto adult version of affogato, pictured above. You may find it appealing if you'd like to "forgotto" holiday time with family, oy!
It includes Hangar One vodka. "H to the affo, V to the gato," for sure, with a nice side of slurp. For a non-alcoholic version, omit the vodka.
That espresso has revved up our appetite for something with substance. It always does. There's meaty analysis by Ryan Tate over at Covers, who finds Incanto's new cured meat business and warehouse purchase to be part of an outsourcing trend. But, if it means we can buy Incanto's buttery, fatty salumi goodness, we may still salivate over the prospect.
Next time we're starvin' Marvins and in the Union Square area, we'll take Frisco Food's bar eats guide. Why go to the horrible Cheesecake Factory (we are snobbish regarding that one, yes!) when we can plop our butts at the Postrio bar, Johnny Foley's, or other spots? Ah, much better there, yes? Now, let's head home.
