It's Got to Be the Morning After

-Frank Gore and Larry Allen from the 49ers and Raiders DE Derrick Burgess get an all expenses paid trip to Hawaii for the Pro Bowl. The Raiders are stunned only Burgess is going. Hmmm....maybe not being one of the worst teams in NFL history would have helped.

-New Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh promises an "enthusiasm unknown to mankind." Couldn't he get arrested for that? And more importantly, can he win?

-The Giants solve all their problems by signing 1b Ryan Klesko. Who was good about three years ago. All told, between Bochy, Roberts, Swenney, Aurillia, and now Klesko, your 2007 Giants are looking an awful lot like the San Diego Padres, one of the more boring, non-descript and mediocre franchises over the past years. All this makes the Betting Fool already in mid-season hating form. On the internets, El Lefty Malo ponders who gets kicked off the roster to make room and McCovey Chronicle wonders if the Giants team could be more unlikable.

-Monta Ellis is hurt.

-Cal beats Furman (Furman?) 84-50

-Bill Walsh makes an appearance at Stanford.
