We must mention the do-gooding of local and international food bloggers in the form of Menu for Hope, which is a now annual fundraising campaign for the UN World Food Programme. It was founded by Pim, of Chez Pim. Last year, 17K went to UNICEF. For a mere $10 per raffle ticket, you have the chance to win "amazing food related prizes" in the way of books, meals, signed items and even tea with SFist favorite Harold McGee,
Sam (friend of SFist!), at Becks & Posh, does a great job at categorizing and answering questions for this campaign. There are sooo many prizes. Let us tempt you with the categories: Have the meal of your life, Delicious experiences, Feast for the eyes: Books and more, Tasty Treats, Cooks' Tools, and Drink yourself silly. Sound exciting? It is! Check out the Menu for Hope site, buy early and often. As of this writing, over 7K has been raised.
Now that you're in the mood to spend, head over to ThisNext, where some fun food blog finery is available. That means bloggers have some shit for sale so you can support them in that most sensitive and caring of ways: financially! We're a little sick and twisted, so we're coveting the Lips and Assholes t-shirt from Offal Good, along with Burritoeater's shirts. If we had a dog or baby, we may even put them in the funny-cutesy mustached tee and bib, respectively. Get this: "Each Burritoeater T-shirt order will ship with a very special, complimentary souvenir: A piece of aluminum foil wrap culled from burritos rated during our 2006 Slab Scrum. Don't delay!" SFist Jer, are you reading this?

I am indeed :).
Just 'cuz I have no time to write for a while doesn't mean I won't read everything written by Mary Ladd and the other SFists.
Jer,
Alright, great to know you caught this one. It has your name written all over it with the burrito stuff and whatnot.
