Careful readers of our daily news summary Day Around The Bay may have noticed that the Golden Gate Restaurant Association has filed a lawsuit against Gavin Newsom and Tom Ammiano's proposed citywide health insurance plan. How can people who support the health care plan show their outrage?
Well, never let it be said that the progressives in town don't come up with some entertaining protest ideas! So get your top hat and/or velvet bonnet, warm up those vocal cords, and join the San Francisco People's Organization and various local unions to sing Christmas carols outside the GGRA annual holiday party tonight! Extra bonus -- The Grinch may make an appearance. Pat Murphy is dismayed. (confidential to Pat: Happy birthday! Your new picture's pretty snazzy!)
The GGRA event goes from 6-9 pm at Ana Mandara (891 Beach Street x Polk). In the meantime, protestors -- meet up at 5:45 at Larkin and North Point, and -- hey! Get cracking learning all 12 of the gifts your true love gave to you. ("11 Supervisors grandstanding" has a nice ring to it, doesn't it?)
And oh yes -- if you go, send us pictures! God rest ye, merry gentlemen (and ladies).

What a great idea for protesting against something.
I guess a lot of home-alone-people like to protest on the day of X-mass. Too bad that the family people will be underrepresented.
