It's Got to Be the Morning After

Saints 34 49ers 10- For 49ers fans, this was a tough loss. And not just because the 49ers came up lacking against their first really good team in awhile. It's tough because it also turned out to be the official Reggie Bush coming out party and for the rest of the week, Niners fans will have to watch in horror as clip after clip after clip of their defense giving it up to Reggie will be played. One should wonder why it is that every other team was capable of bottling the dude up but the Niners couldn't.

Texans 23 Raiders 14- Let's play a little the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly for this game so summon up your best wah-wah-wah-wah-waah, wah-waaah-wah. Here's the good: the Raiders held the Texans passing game to minus five yards and their entire offense to a little over 100 yards. The bad? Despite all the new gadgetry and bells and whistles, the Raiders could only muster fourteen points. The ugly? They still lost. And this is what you can losing ugly: five turnovers (three in the last quarter), no points scored in the last quarter, seven penalties for sixty yards, and three missed field goals. The Texans managed to win somehow through good special teams play and opportunistic offense. You want some more ugliness? Aaron Brooks threw an interception with seconds left which wouldn't be a surprise if anybody knew anything about Brooks. But that was the fourth straight game it happened, sixth time in twelve games. Also, the Raiders' offense has been unable to score in the fourth quarter for eight straight games, and it has scored only ten points in the fourth quarter all season.
