At CCA in SF (1111 8th St. near 16th and Wisconsin) there are three separate art openings tonight. Capp Street Project presents an installation by Michael Stevenson examining the United States’ relationship to Central American economies. The Wattis Institute presents How to Build a Universe That Doesn't Fall Apart Two Days Later a group show that illustrates and comments upon agrarian and scientific hopes for the future from the mindset of the mid-70s. There's also a reception for Radical Software: Art, Technology and the Bay Area Underground, sponsored by Wired Magazine, a group show with art, media, and ephemera exploring the last generation's digerati. And finally, Tom Brokaw speaks at a Commonwealth Club shindig at the Hotel Nikko (222 Mason @ Cyril Magnin) (7pm)
