Your Commute: Eighty-Sixing the 880

Interstate The 880 was pretty much down this morning as crews were set out to make emergency road repairs on two of the lanes. We're guessing that considering this is the first day back at work for many of you, this could only make today worse. The repair work, which started at High Street in Oakland, was fixed around 9 this morning, two hours before Caltrans first thought it was going to take to be fixed.

The problem was that a large steel plate placed on the highway was moved off of where it was placed. Naturally, the repair work was to move the steel plate back to where the steel plate was supposed to go.
