USC 23- Cal 9: We honestly felt Cal would have no chance with USC as we figured Cal to be merely a "Good in the Pac 10" type team, the kind of team who could beat the Beavers but not the big guys. But Cal put up a fight and held 'SC close for three quarters before finally giving way to a superior Trojan team. They did have the lead at 9-6 at halftime but between stupid mistakes, turn overs, and some bad breaks, they couldn't do much against the Trojans in the second half, leading to the playing over and over again of that damn USC fight song. We hate that song.
Beavers 30 Stanford 7- Stanford scored first but gave up 30 straight points to pull an o'fer at home for the season.
Sharks 6 Flyers 1- Six different sharks scored as they throttled a Flyers team who probably won't be having a good homecoming. Flyers fans don't like losing like that.
Warriors 107 Sonics 95- Early in the game, Baron Davis left early in the game with a rib injury. Panic time? Nope, Monta Ellis came out of nowhere to score 31 points and have season highs in rebounds and assists as the Warriors won their fifth straight game, sixth at home. And no, we're not hoping on the Don Nelson bandwagon just yet.
San Diego State 86 Cal Bears 79- Between this and the football loss, not a good day in Berkeley.

While its unfortunate for Cal fans that the Bears lost, this Trojan alumni has waited years for 'SC to make a comeback. And that fight song is music to my ears.
Here's a feature that those of us who hate to hear the USC fight song once a minute every minute during a game would love to see: do it yourself audio mixing. Somehow, through the magic of interactive TV, the watcher at home could control how much of each microphone came into their house. So I could turn the mic near the USC band to zero, maybe turn up the crowd noise, and now and then turn up the mic near that cursing guy that always gets into the mix somehow. Not easy, but you gotta dream...
