Tonight, our friends at Hyphen Magazine are having a party at 111 Minna (111 Minna at 2nd), celebrating their newest issue (#10--The Music Issue) with some of their favorite local Asian American musicians: native guns, marque, mud and lovelikefire, and DJs, kero one, politik and modest mark. (9p - 2a)

Saturday, it's that time again - time for Miss Trannyshack Pageant 2006 at the Regency Center (1300 Van Ness at Sutter) with performances by Lady Bunny and Lady Miss "Groove is in the Heart" Kier. This year extends to 4 am with an after hours dance party following the pageant. (9pm)

Sunday, at The Castro Theatre (429 Castro St.) Marc Huestis' Movies That Matter presents To Kill a Mockingbird with star Mary Badham ("Scout") interviewed live on-stage by renowned author Armistead Maupin, plus performances by JoBeth Williams, Michelle Shocked, Connie Champagne, Youth Speaks and more. Partial proceeds from the evening benefit the ACLU Foundation of Northern California. (6:30pm)

And what's with the cat pictures this week?
This weekend is the The Cat Fanciers' Association's 19th Annual International Cat Show at the San Mateo County Expo Center in San Mateo (2495 S. Delaware Street - take the Delaware Street exit from Highway 92). Pedigreed cats, cats racing through obstacle courses, a 27-foot long hand-painted Chinese Scroll with images of 100 cats, dozens of vendors with products ranging from toys to magazines to jewelry.
