Via Castro Shopper, here's footage of some unpleasantness to which Halloween revelers were treated in the Castro this year. Kicking, punching, gleeful encouragement to fight: clearly, this was a party very much in keeping with the spirit of the neighborhood. Can't wait to do it again next year!

Good thing there were so many extra cops on hand this year.
Must be nice to stand around doing nothing and get paid a ton of overtime.
I think you could say the same thing about the Muni clip!
In fairness to the cops, they do finally show up at the end of the video -- about two minutes in. Although I wonder why they weren't already stationed at such a busy intersection.
