We're going to post this now before the evil lawers at NBC demand it to be pulled down. What we're posting is the opening skit of last night's "Saturday Night Live" (which was actually kind of funny-- loved the Britney skit). Basically, it's their take on "San Francisco Values" with attendant jokes about alternate life styles and political correctness. It's pretty funny and kind of cutting (a friend thought it was a little too cutting) but well, we liked it.
Part of the reason why we're posting this is because, well, expect a lot more of this stuff coming our way. Pelosi's the most powerful Democrat in the land and it's the easy joke to make. As Howard Dean would say, "yeeeeehaaaawwww!"

I saw this last night and I was rolling on the floor .. I like the assistant showing up in leather
Alas, YouTube took down the "copyrighted content" video.
Sigh. You know the worst thing about it is that the NBC site sucks. They either don't put up all the videos or they put them up to late. It's one thing to force YouTube to take them down, it's another thing to force them to take them down and then make it impossible to see them afterwards.
If you want to try and find it, go here.
Well if you can't see it here's a precis:
Nancy explains how she's going to change things. She mixes the standard Democratic election talking points with a bunch of references to group sex, pot, and other bizarre policies that would be hilarious if we hadn't seen them dicussed seriously in this city at one time or another. A leather clad assistant appears at one time, accompanied by a human ashtray slave called Filth. It's all a bit obvious really, but her timing is spot on, and if you don't live here, I'm sure the references are fresh and funny. Don't get me wrong, the Democrats won, so bring on the satire. It just needs to be funnier than this to get my comedy vote.
If you can find it, check out Colbert storming out of the studio on Tuesday night, then coming back in and blaming the democrats for the last 15 minutes of failure in Iraq.
Apparently this video clip is available on the Gnutella Network. You'll need a Gnutella client like LimeWire for Mac or Windows(http://www.limewire.com). See http://www.gnutella.com/connect/ for a complete list of clients. Once you're on the network, search for Nancy Pelosi SNL. It's an MPEG (MP4) file.
