*blush* Thanks Jer-Jer. I can't wait to see what you have to say about last week's episode, because I certainly have a lot of thoughts, and so I need a new recap to comment on.

Man, I really am this show's bitch, bitch.

Wow, thanks Cbass and Rita for the props! You're both far too kind.

I feel the need to plug commenter KT's site; she's a pretty great LA-based food blogger that I've become a big fan of in the past few months, and she keeps moving the bar higher and higher.

Check out: gastronomy-101.blogspot.com

Yeah, KT, I agreed about Tom's speech sounding a little gratuitously dickish, but it's hard to believe he really meant it. One great thing about this show is they don't seem married to form and format, and can change the dynamic in short order if need be. (oh, and Padma opined plenty last night, didn't she? look for more drivel from me right here next Wednesday!)

What the heck? do you just have to be married to a much older, more famous man to host this show?

These round ups are great even though this show is no longer in SF:( I guess everyone "goes L.A.". Notice that a lot of the contestants are less... er... let's say "endowed like miguel" this season? Bravo is bringin sexy back...

I'm sad to report that this show has made me hate Tom Colicchio. I don't know why ... he's just so needlessly bitchy sometimes. I would rather he be more of a helper and not a judge. They need SOMEONE on their side, so I don't have to feel bad when they get bitched out by the other judges.

Did you notice that Marcel = Mr. Heatmiser? Also, shut up with your molecular gastronomy, dickweed. I am sure he will be around long enough for me to hate on him a lot before he gets kicked off for being an ass.

Padma Lakshi is pretty. I hope she gets to espouse an opinion sometime during the run of the show.

No, Jeremy -- my favorite last season was YOU and these killer roundups!!! So glad they're back!

Did you see how Harold was scarfing down those flambeed quickfire challenges in the judging? And did you see the fond smile Chef Tom gave Harold when they were all sitting together? He's like, "I'm not your mentor, because I'm already Harold's."

Harold! I had his $7 mortadella sandwich at the new Wichcraft the other day. No one told me "mortadella" is just a fancy word for "baloney." (It was pretty decent, though.)
