The Only Bomb That Will Go Off on Sunday Will Be the Raiders

Sorry to be the bearers of bad news, but for those of you looking for a good excuse not to go to the Raiders/Cards Bottom-of-the-Barrel-Fest this Sunday, what was looking like the best possible excuse ever just fell apart. That excuse? Oh, terrorists unleashing a dirty bomb at the game.

According to officials, an online discussion somewhere on the site "New Attack on America Be Afraid" (we're big fans of that site that site but we hate how they draw over pictures of everything with bright, pink text) said that dirty bombs were going to be unloaded on a truck around game time and then, kablooie. The reason for it being this Sunday is because it's final day of Ramadan.

The story, however, is being pooh-poohed by pretty much everyone, including the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI. So don't worry if the game is blacked out on TV-- it's only because nobody is going.

Boy, the Bush Administration really is slipping these days. If this story would have come out in '03 or '04, they would have pushed the Terrorist Threat Level up to "Everyone Panic!," at least twenty people would have been tortured, and everyone would have blamed it all on Democrats. Today, nothing.
