Debates Around The Districts
RESOLVED: That you want to become more informed about the issues in the local SF elections.
So we're trying to compile a handy-dandy list of all the forums we can find, arranged by district and by date -- but we can barely find anything out there! So we're posting what we've got, and asking everyone else to post other dates in the comments if you've got any.
See you guys at the debates -- we'll be the ones wearing the big rainbow wig and blasting the air horns. R-C-V! R-C-V!
District 6 (SoMa, Mission, Tenderloin)
--The League of Women Voters forum, Tuesday October 10, at the Koret Auditorium in the Main Library, from 6 to 7:30. (We are so planning on going to this one.)
--The Hastings Law and Policy Review forum at Hastings Law School, on Friday October 13 at 12:45. Hastings is where Daly got in his altercation with the cops back in 2002, so this should be good!
District 4 (Sunset)
--Fiona Ma's Town Hall forum, Wednesday October 11, 7:30 p.m., at the Holy Name of Jesus Church (39th between Kirkham and Lawton)
--California Home Ownership Program, Monday October 23 at 6:30, at the Sunset Recreation Center (28th and Lawton).
The districts we need your help to find debates for (2, 8, and 10), after the jump.
District 2 (Marina, Pac Heights)
Are there really no debates going on in this district? We can't find anything!
District 8 (Castro, Noe Valley)
--League of Women Voters, Thursday October 19 at 7 p.m., at the LGBT Community Center (Market and Octavia)
District 10: (Bayview, Potrero, Hunters Point)
--League of Women Voters, Thursday October 26 at 6 p.m, at the Earl P. Mills Community Center, 100 Whitney Young Circle.
Anything else out there? Let us know!

The District 6 debate looks like it's actually at 6-7:30.
Thanks for pointing that out -- how embarrassing if I'd shown up with my air horns and John 3:16 sign right as the event was ending! Changing it in the post now.
David Kiddoo was the last candidate to enter the D2 race, but he's the first to get a webpage up. There's still nothing at Alioto-Pier's URL. Is she even running a campaign? The other candidate, Vilma Guinto Peoro, doesn't have a webpage or email listed, but she does have a nice red dress and matching hat. (see the bottom of that article.)
Commenter antfaber was kind enough to forward along information about school board forums as well, from the Parents for Public Schools website:
