Indictments in H.P. Case

226HEWLETT_PACKARD.jpgPatricia Dunn, ex Chairwoman of H.P. is now officially having the worst week ever. Yesterday, it was her starting chemo for ovarian cancer and now today, she just got indicted by the California Attorney General. Dunn was charged with four felonies:

"using of false or fraudulent pretenses to obtain confidential information from a public utility, unauthorized access to computer data, identity theft, and conspiracy to commit each of those crimes."
Each charge is a felony. The Federal Government is supposed to weigh in with possible indictments too.

Also indicted along with her are former H.P. lawyer Kevin T. Hunsaker, Boston-area Private Dick Ronald L. DeLia, "information broker" Joseph DePante, and Bryan Wagner, the guy who illegally used means to obtain private phone records. How this all breaks down is Dunn decided to do some spying, hired DeLia to do the spying and DeLia outsourced it to DePante. All of this was done under the legal eye of Hunsacker who apparently missed out on the legal ethics class in law school.

None of this has affected H.P.'s stock, however, as it's doing quite well.
