Whaaaa? I can't believe my BART exit is not deemed sufficiently cool to get free Jamba Juice!!!! I saw no one -- no people dressed in bananas, nobody appreciating me, nothing. All I got was the lady who pushed me out of the way so she could get ahead of me in the turnstile line. (I'm like, you wanna get to work that bad, I'm not going to stop you.)

I'm not sure what was the problem at BART other than no direct Fremont trains from the West Bay to the East, which caused a long delay that allowed me to overhear snippets of amusing cell phone conversations on the crowded platform. The best part, though, was that it's BART Rider Appreciation Day and riders at certain stations got a free Jamba Juice gift card (valued anywhere from a buck to $300). I and my fellow passengers who disembarked at Montgomery grumblingly grabbed our rewards, even though I know I didn't feel all that appreciated. Though seeing a girl in a banana suit handing out the cards did make me feel a little better.

I was told by the conductor there was nobody in the car. The lady driver had managed to walk out before the train hit. My train was following that southbound train. 3rd Caltrain incident this month.
