Day Around the Bay

-Yesterday, on a beautiful, sunny September afternoon (before the fog rolled in), blues was heard, butless leather chaps were worn, and freaky people danced. We stayed in.

-Oakland police and others scour the Oakland Hills for Nina Reiser, a 31 year old mom who disappeared on September 3rd.


-El Cerrito High cracks down on cell phone use in schools. You know, it's been awhile since we've been kids but with all the technology out there in the world, we feel that much sorrier for teachers.

-The Chron has a fascinating (fascinating!) story about Three Dog Night. You know, the one's who did "Joy to the World." The Chron-- always on the cutting edge.

-The Governator says no to street racing.

-No Smoking will be allowed at Beaches in Monterey.

Cell phone use in schools is a huge problem. Besides being an incredibly annoying distraction in the classroom, kids use the phones to text test answers to each other, take pictures of exams, and even coordinate fights. Is it too much to ask kids to go out a buy a $3 calculator and leave the phone off?

 

I thought there was a law that says you can not walk around in public with your private parts (including ass) hanging out...

Am I correct?
