Let's Go See Some Art

SF Recycling & Disposal, Inc. (503 Tunnel Ave.)
Perfectly Good; Friendly Fire
Artwork by Noah Wilson and Kim Weller
Closing reception: Friday, Sept. 22, 5 - 9 p.m.

Who doesn't love getting a little dirty every once in awhile? Apparently not local artists Noah Wilson and Kim Weller. Both artists will exhibit work they created during their residency at San Francisco's city dump. Weller uses garbage to tinker with the visual allure of popular culture and examine the strengths and weakness of historical cultural archetypes. Wilson's work deals with personal questions and curiosities; but doesn't offer any certain conclusions. He says, "I prefer that they remain connected to a hazy, obfuscated sense of sight. I use these photographs to describe what I cannot explain - to try to articulate what, for me, may never have an answer."

The event is free and open to the public.
