The only people that really should care that the Giants season is over are the ones living in South Beach in the vicinity of the ballpark. They are, and should be relieved that the ridiculous mayhem accompanying each game is now over and the neighbourhood can again breathe freely.

In my opinion, baseball does not belong to San Francisco. It is a ridiculous, boring, un-spectacular game that somehow became an American pastime, but San Francisco should be more civilized than care about an overpaid group of lazy, tobacco-chewing semi-illiterate jocks who call themselves athletes.

Even the so-called Giants fans readily admit that they go to see games mostly to scream at umpires, eat expensive hot-dogs, drink beer and smuggle harder licquor to the stands to get wasted in public. Few follow the game at all times. How pathetic is it really.

So adios los Gigantes! Your horrible playing is the next best thing to moving the team to Sacramento where it really belongs.
