-A flat fee for BART?

-- And speaking of BART, a new BART stop is about to be built, the first one since the SFO extension in 2003. It'll be called the West Dublin/Pleasanton stop and will be built between the ten minute gap in stops between Dublin/Pleasanton and Castro Valley.

-If you have a home near the Altamont Raceway, don't get naked and go into the hot tub.

-There were shootings at a party in Ingleside and at an Oakland Street Race.

-That E Coli Spinach outbreak? It's from here. In all of this spinach scare, nobody's asked the really important question: what will Popeye do now?

-Bikers and hikers in Los Gatos now have another thing to contend with: Segways. A company is renting them out for people who want to enjoy the outdoors and get excercise by standing on something and puttering around hiking trails. Jesus, people, you should try to get off your fat asses for once.

-Rep. Barbara Lee is pushing for a resolution calling for condoms to be available for prisoners in Federal Prisons. The reason for the resolution is because of the spread of HIV/AIDS in prison and her concern about what happens when an HIV positive prisoner is released back into the world. Hmm, let's see here-- a resolution calling for condoms for mostly African-American criminals who engage in some "Oz" style prison sex...why do we not see Congress passing this?

-New Stanford Stadium opened.

-East Bay rulez- Cal and Oakland win, Stanford and the Giants lose.
