Day Around The Bay
--We're still not ready for an earthquake. (Bonnie Eslinger's article about this at the Examiner isn't online, though Ken Garcia's is.)
--They're going to start building high-rise condos in San Jose.
--Genentech and Biogen's cancer drug might also fight MS. The read-a-thon works!
--Lock up the older women, and the younger ones -- Kevin Costner and Ashton Kutcher were in town yesterday.
--And hey, it was 40 years ago today -- the Beatles played their last formal concert ever, at Candlestick.

It was also my birthday on the 29th too! Me, "weezy" from the Jeffersons, John McCain, Scary Michael Jackson and Hurricane Katrina all share the day....not sure if that's a great thing to be talking about though. Maybe if McCain is president we'll get a special holiday celebrating him and the Beatles.
happy birthday, Greg! (And you too, John McCain.) Hope you had a good one!
