Nimby's "Summer Violence Prevention Plan" didn't come out until Summer had already started. He can revoke an event permit in days if it disturbs a Democrat's wedding, but he's largely behind the curve on real crime and quality-of-life issues.

The murder rate soars, meanwhile Nimby Newsom cracks down on graffiti. There is a serious lack of leadership in Room 200 of SF City Hall. Mayor Newsom opposed Prop A in June, which would have attempted to address the spiraling homicide rate. He now owes us an alternate plan.... and its not 'lets put a bounty on a tagger'

The sad fact is that the city builds these new housing projects and then lets them become uninhabitable again due to the criminals and violence which were the problem in the first place. McCormack Baron Salazar, Inc. makes a pretty penny "managing" these New-Urbanist crackhouses. Valencia Gardens will be open any day now; if they hurry they can add some bodies to this year's total. From the looks of it this will be another pastel jungle of doorways, driveways, and backyards turned into drug markets.

Is it just me, or does anyone else think it's very odd that two tourists would be at a Burger King at Bayshore Boulevard and Faith Street? Not exactly Fisherman's Wharf. I'm guessing there might be more to this story.
