Wanted: "People who dig fun movies with rad action"

The Stunt People are to movies what The Primitive Screwheads are to theatre. (As you might have noticed, we love the Screwheads, so we consider the comparision high praise indeed.) We first heard about this SF based group of action filmmakers when they completed their most recent feature, Contour, which has already had several sold-out screenings at the 4 Star Theatre.

Contour, which was nominated for Best Fight Choreography and Best Action Sequence at the Action On Film Festival, is a kinetic martial arts film dense with both local and pop-cultural references (watch the trailer above to see what we mean). Pulling from influences as diverse as Guy Ritchie, Jackie Chan, and late-night infomercials, this low-budget action film proves that you don't have to shoot on green to kick some ass.

Contour's only got one more scheduled screening in the Bay Area, so you don't have to take our praise at face value. Support local filmmakers, and have a great time doing it, by catching it on the big screen tonight at 9:15 at the 4 Star.

This is one of the actors from Contour. I just wanted to make a last minute update that this final showing of Contour has very few seats remaining (it is technically sold out, but people always bail at the last minute).

However, there is a big possibility of another screening at 4 Star and a screening at San Francisco State University is in the works, so drop me an email and we can keep you posted on future screenings.
