A guy named Penisimani Schneider was arrested in Mountain View for assaulting his wife and trying to slash her with a knife, with five of his children present in the house. Yes, it's terrible, but we've gotta ask -- what kind of name is Penisimani? Is this like Mike Litoris?

New contributor SFist Sarah L passed along the following East Bay tidbit: an Emeryville man was arrested after attacking his girlfriend with her own shoe. Dude, if you're going to attack someone, at least use your own footwear.

...and well, maybe he didn't want a new drug after all -- Mario Cipollina, former bass player for Huey Lewis and the News, was arraigned on heroin and meth possession charges in Marin Superior Court on Wednesday. He left the News in 1994, was arrested in 1996 also on drug possession charges, and in 2004, was arrested for stealing $5000 worth of radio control cars. Cipollina's the guy who smoked and wore shades all the time in the Huey Lewis and the News videos.
