The debate rages on about whether Bevan Dufty is right to try and cancel Halloween in the Castro, and what that all means about the future of San Francisco. How do we balance the idea of fun for the city and security for neighborhood residents? As always, you readers impress us with your articulateness, thoughtfulness, and intense dedication to our beloved burg. Thanks, MattyMatt, for bringing up the subject and giving people a place to discuss it.
SFist Ced's giving people a place to discuss things too -- namely, the discussion between a very angry MUNI rider and the MUNI bus driver she finally pushed over the edge. Our favorite thing about his video is how SFist Ced cautiously tries to bring his video camera up from the awesome shot of his foot to show us the main players in this drama, and then quickly shifts back to the foot so he doesn't get caught in the crossfire. Recommend this YouTube clip to all your friends!
Meanwhile, SFist Jon thrilled at the beginning of the week to the Giants' brief surge, and then agonized during the freefall at the end. That's not good for your blood pressure, SFist Jon!
Welcome back SFist Emily from her summer hiatus, as she brings back the monster beats with the SFist Interviews you know we all love! This week -- Craftster and the band Om.
And hey, you guys -- thanks for voting us Best Local Blog in the Guardian. We'll try to keep making you proud through the next year and beyond.
Beautiful picture of garlic bulbs by SFist Melissa, accompanying this week's SFist in the Kitchen column by SFist Derrick.
