Week In SFist

nightcafe.jpgMaybe everyone's just happy that our server seems back on the job (more or less -- sorry for the confusion, contest entrants), but we're glad to see all the lively conversations going on in the comments this week. Whether you're following the Tour de France, heckling or supporting Chris Daly, discussing art, keeping your culinary cool, or demonstrating your West Coast stickball pride, we're enjoying reading all of it.

What really got you guys going this week? Outdoor seating at cafes -- and the state of grocery stores in the Haight. Take a note, San Francisco Board of Supervisors!

And we're also pleased to see you guys are making use of our new "Recommend this!" button -- so as far as we can tell, you click on the "recommend this!" link, you get that button, and then click on "recommend this" again to make the recommendation count go up. The clear winner here this week was the new Craigslist Beirut site, though SFist Eve's sighting of the Amazing Race guy, the pro, uh, rooster email we got in the editor@sfist.com box, and the manhunt for the BNE graffiti artist all garnered attention as well.

Thanks for reading, folks -- you made our second anniversary a blast. And pencil in our birthday bash in your calendars now -- Friday August 18. More info to follow (i.e., we need to actually get started planning it), but we can't wait to see you there. Extra party bonus: you can meet our publisher Jake, who's flying out from the sweltering, electricity-free clime of New York City to see this "West Coast" thing first-hand!
