This Week's BART Screw Up
You know, when BART management has their year-end review and puts together a montage of all the shiny, happy moments that happened, we think they're probably going to skip July as today there was yet another BART mishap. That's three in the past month for those who are counting.
Today's problem-- train stuck in the Transbay Tube for over an hour. Ouch. That's gotta suck. There you are, stuck in a train, somewhere deep underneath hundreds of feet of water, thinking that if there were some motherf----- snakes on this goddamn train, you're gonna be in some trouble. And would you say we've beaten that joke to death or past death into the afterlife and several karmic reincarnations? No, actually, the worst thing is being late to work but because you're stuck in the tube, you can't even use your cell phone to let anyone know. And somewhere, buried deep in your mind, is the realization that at some point, that double late you've been downing is going to make you have to piss like a racehorse and you're totally stuck on BART underneath the Bay and have no way of doing anything about it.
Anyways, the train got stuck in the tube around 7:50 this morning, causing backups of around fifty minutes for those heading into the East Bay. Delays were slightly not so bad headed to SFO. BART officials say it'll be around 10:15 when everything goes back to normal.
