Week In SFist

Hope you had a good July 4 this week! Namely, we hope you didn't come anywhere near Joey Chestnut's 2nd place hot dog eating contest finish at your barbecues of choice.

It was a week of transit woes -- Caltrain fares going up, inconvenient MUNI routes, and BART breakdowns. It wasn't any better on the roads, either -- some drag-racing teenage girl killed two members of the Tongan royal family in a car accident in Menlo Park too.

In other news, who's going to win How To Get The Guy? We'll never know! Also, be sure to check out our Clarks: this week, we talked to both Larry Clark (of Wassup Rockers) and Clark Kepler (of Kepler's Books).

And finally -- happy birthday, Butterstick!

What about a count for # of people with plastic surgery? Oh wait, that would be ALL OF THEM!!! No, really, that's the best part of Swells. Seeing all the "beautiful" rich people and their stretched out eyes, inflated lips and turkey necks. HIL-arious!
