Wednesdays, The New Wednesdays
Wednesday killed a man -- with a trident! Tonight: As part of their series previewing new documentaries, the Film Arts Foundation is screening David L. Brown's "The Bridge So Far," about the shenanigans surrounding the reconstruction of the Bay Bridge, at the Screening Room in the Yerba Buena Center. $7, 7:30 p.m.
Thursday: Options on both sides of the bay tonight (as if nothing happens in either SF or Oakland on any other day of the week) -- there's a striptease auction/fashion show at the Lab (7-10 p.m., 2948 16th Street at Capp), and at Oakland's 21 Grand (416 25th St., 8 p.m., $6-10), the Connie and Bonnie Show bring their indie-queer-rockabilly Baltimore variety act to town, featuring videos, performance, and good old fashioned rawk.
and Friday: It's the kickoff to Pride Weekend! You don't need us telling you what to do! Get In Bed With Fairy Butch at 12 Galaxies with some good old fashioned erotic cabaret, a pre-bedtime speed dating round, and the "mingle and tingle game." This is also the official venue of the Tranny March afterparty, and -- uh oh! -- there might be some dancing afterwards! Get your swivel on. Speed-dating starts at 8, $12. 12 Galaxies is at 2565 Mission, between 21st and 22nd.
