This Week's BART F--- Up
BART was delayed today for more than an hour and a half as once again there was a power outage. This time the outage was caused not by a Temp, but by a BART train traveling from Balboa Park to Daly City striking a piece of metal on the track. No word as to what the piece of metal was or where it was from or whether any motherf------ snakes were involved.
As a result, trains were stopped between Balboa Park and Daly City. Once everything was back up, there were delays of up to half an hour as BART played catch-up.
According to reports, passengers stuck on a train not more than 100 yards from the Daly City BART station decided to take matters into their own hands and pulled the emergency lever to open up the doors to the first car of the train. The passengers then jumped down onto the tracks and walked the way up to the BART station.
We, by the way, had a nice cozy, comfortable ride down the 101 in our car, the one we got so we wouldn't have to put up with that kind of crap.
