Stuff To Do If You're Bored
Saturday: Head to the The Exploratorium (3601 Lyon Street) for the Physics of Toys: Ride Like The Wind! At 11 a.m. or 3 p.m, you'll have the chance to make your own kites, sail-carts, and pinwheels. Shut up, it sounds fun. That night, at 7:30, we're hitting Project ARTAUD (450 Florida Street between 17th and Mariposa) for Every Little Movement: a benefit for Remy Charlip. Charlip, an acclaimed dancer, recently suffered a stroke, and proceeds from this event are intended to help with medical expenses and hasten his recovery.
Sunday: Now that we know we can get booze, we're all over the Precious Cheese North Beach Festival. (SFist Jon will also be there, celebrating his birthday, so if you see him be sure to give him lotsa love!) On top of our list: the 2 p.m. animal blessing at the National Shrine of St. Francis of Assisi. Is SFist Franny Catholic? Guess we'll find out.
Monday: We're all about Frameline 30 this week, and are doing our best to see both the hot tickets and the hidden gems. For example, we know a lot of folks are headed to the brilliant Follow My Voice: With the Music of Hedwig, but we hear that Rag Tag, playing at 8 p.m. at the Victoria Theatre (2961 16th Street), is one of the fest's best kept secrets. We love us some secrets, so that's where we'll be.
Tuesday: Reader's choice! What are you up to? Let us know in the comments!
