OK, the rule is, the first one to savage him buys the beer. But on another tangent, what's with Murphy over at the sentinel? Last week it was: And none of the officials or stakeholders combined have the power to force through their vision - any vision - of a solution. Except for one... Mayor Gavin Newsom. I almost sent him a box of Kleenex after that one. Now it's: Mayor Newsom will stand short of effective leadership on San Francisco public safety, this corner surmises... Well, duh, if you've ever tried to get him to show up at a Hayes Valley or Lower Haight Neighborhood meeting.
