Your Daily Gavin

What?? More pictures of Gavin Newsom??? Keep sending them in and we'll keep running 'em. This one's from The Party Cow's Flickr Study of Gavin's facial expressions -- well worth checking out.

After the jump -- SFCivicCenter checks out Gavin at today's SF Bike Festivities, and Brian B from Mesh SF espies Gavin at the ballpark for Willie Mays's birthday.

SFMike tells us "no one was rude enough to bring up [Gavin's] recent veto of the park closure in Golden Gate Park at this particular photo op," but promises delicious eco-friendly dirt about Gavin's bike-ventures this morning if you stop by tonight's 111 Minna "Bike Away From Work" event.

In exchange for us being able to use this picture (which, we're informed, unfortunately does not show that Mr. Mayor was bumping fists with one of the gentlemen depicted), we're happy to tell you guys that the reader who passed it along, Brian B, is participating in a mustache-a-thon, where you pledge him money and he doesn't shave. A donation of $100 requires that Brian refrain from shaving for another day; a donation of $500 will switch his growth pattern from Fu Manchu to 70s Adult Actor. Rrrowr! The money's going to fund Team California's Habitat For Humanity trip to Thibodeaux, Louisiana in June.

Gavin looks better with glasses; it makes him look older and wiser and less like a used car salesman. One could also change "with glasses" to "without Sofia Milos" and the statement would still be true. [/totally superficial post]
