City CarShare's Old Enough to Start Kindergarten

5th AnniversityH
Happy birthday to you! City CarShare (it's basically a membership-based car rental program with extra perks) turns five this year, and they're throwing a party and giving out awards. Nancy Pelosi will be on hand to receive the coveted "Golden Fob" award, as recognition for all the noise she's made about conservation. Slightly lower down on the star-power meter (but only slightly), Berkeley Principal Transportation Planner Matt Nichols will be on hand to get a fobbie award, too, because it wouldn't be a conversation event if Berkeley wasn't involved somehow.

Tickets are $15 for CCS members, $30 for non-members; the bash happens on Thursday, June 1 from 5:30 to 8:30 at boca: The Bar of Contemporary Art (near the Powell turnaround). Full disclosure: we're CCS members, but we're not getting any incentive to plug this event. We just think they're neat.
