SFist Blotter

housetelegraph.jpgMan, another man shot in an auto body shop in the SF Bayview on Monday. It's a different auto body shop than the shooting of the guy in the DA's witness protection program, though. The victim wasn't an employee of the body shop, nor did he have a car being repaired at the time. Police don't think this shooting is related to the witness-protection program one. You can call 415-575-4444 if you have any information about the crime, but the SFPD admits that probably last week's shooting of the guy in the witness protection program isn't going to encourage people to come forward on this one.

A 20-year-old guy and a 19-year-old girl have pled no contest to charges of assault with a deadly weapon, based on an unfortunate interaction last year -- they, along with a third friend, drove up to the Safeway in Millbrae, and asked a man and a woman standing outside waiting for the bus to buy them some beer. When the bus-waiters declined, the kids jumped them. Too bad the guy waiting for the bus had a pocket knife on him and stabbed the third guy in the chest after the third guy started swinging a metal bat at him. The kids fled the scene, but were later found stranded on the 101 overpass on Millbrae Boulevard after the third guy collapsed. He later died from his injuries, but the authorities decided the guy at the bus had acted in self-defense.

and..... yick. Watch where you're stepping on University and ECR in Palo Alto.

why can't we move from a "fastpass" system to a "fastrak" type of thing, so we never have to worry about finding them, and muni can save on printing them?!?!
