From The Editor's Inbox
A few weeks ago we were having soy chai lattes with an editor of another media outlet, as he mused wistfully on his desire to run a column he called "Crackpot's Corner." In this column he'd feature some of the odder email and letters he recieved, both related and unrelated to anything in his publication. Unfortunately, his legal team advised him against such a thing, so this idea remained tabled.
"Hey!" we thought. "Our legal team is way too busy skewing our politics coverage to slander a working mother to advise us against anything! Why not steal this guy's idea and make it our own?"
But we're not calling it "Crackpot's Corner." That isn't because none of our readers are crackpots -- don't get us wrong, we think y'all are a bunch of freaks. (But so are we!) We also want to feature some of the wonderfully cool and strange email you guys send us, email that contains stuff we can't always get into a post, but stuff that deserves to be seen (after being edited for length, clarity, and copy, of course). Thus, "From The Editor's Inbox."
For the inaugural iteration of this column, we present to you the photo above, and the accompanying email.
Subject: It takes talent...corner of Calif & FillmoreA friend suggested I send this to you
Yesterday I was walking down Fillmore street and ran across the following parking incident at the corner of Fillmore and California (on Calif). I have no idea how she got air when she tried to parallel park - we were all baffled.
