Vanity Fair Connect

vanityfairgav.JPG

Thanks to our super-secret sources for sending along the Vanity Fair picture that we didn't have earlier, of Gavin Newsom moodily contemplating eco-friendliness with two fatter guys! We kind of want to draw a little thought bubble above him: "How ya like me now, San Francisco Green Party????"

(unrelated musing: was it SFist Jackson who noted that every single Newsom initiative has the word "connect" in it? Can someone please arrange for a meeting between Newsom and three other people? We have the "Project Connect Four" post already all written in our head.)

After the jump -- the Vanity Fair cover photo, with Julia Roberts dressed up like a tree! The Earth is our home!

Greg Nickels, the Mayor of Seattle, was my neighbor for 7 years in West Seattle (think of it as the Seattle equivalent of the Sunset).

He was kind of a jerk, and I remember when I'd walk the dog in my neighborhood every time my little doggie took a dump or a piss on his lawn during election season (With his loud garish campaign signs on the lawn) I'd reward her with a burger at the local burger place.

He may be able to fool Vanity Fair, but Seattle-ite's know the difference - he's just another thug politician bent on keeping power for himself and being like Willie Brown, but without the style, flair, or whatever. I wish I still lived there sometimes so my little doggie could take a nice crap on a magazine, then leave it on his doorstep.

Putz.
