That's A Lot Of Reading

large book cropped.jpg We've never been happier not to live in Oakland than when we got wind of Oakland mayoral candidate Ignacio De La Fuente's 32 page bio being distributed to voters this Saturday.

From what we understand from Chron piece, the booklet contains not only his platform but also includes a biography detaining his professional achievements and personal failures.

According to De La Fuente, "he put together the 32-page booklet because, 'people need real information about their choices for mayor -- more than what can fit into a fancy brochure or a sound bite.'" Well, yeah, but isn't there some middle ground between a sound bite and 32 freaking pages? How big are these pages, do you think? The only way we'd be able to make it through 32 pages on this topic is if it's a De La Fuent-themed Jack Chick tract.

That's not Ignacio De La Fuente's biographical booklet, it's the dictionary! It's understandable that you were confused.
