Tax day is not the ides. The ides, In the ancient Roman calendar, fall on the eighth day after the nones, which in March, May, July, Octobe is the 15th of the month. In all other months the ides fall on the 13th. So today (Thurs April 13), not the 15th, is/are the ides of April. ... And as I recall, only the ides of March were regarded as unlucky. Though I could be wrong there.
