Food Blogger Roundup

Spring Bloom - from Shuna at Eggbeater.jpgHappy Spring!

Which means its time for Spring cleaning. While we here at SFist are all in favor of small rent-controlled studio apartments, we're not so fond of the small kitchen. Justin Spring, courtesy of Heidi Swanson, taught us some ways to organize our confined kitchens more efficiently and also had some good tips for non-lethal cleaning supplies.

A new blog for us this week is Sweet Napa. She's attending culinary school in Napa and blogging all about it. Here's a random hot-air balloon shot, but you can check out the rest of her sweet stuff, too.

Daily Feed has a quick bitchfest on the delayed opening of Epicurious Garden in Berkeley. Their website has been updated to reflect the fact it's not actually open yet.

Pim can try and hide down in Santa Cruz, but she's logs her time spent in Oakland recently in these blogs about slow food.

A review of the knitting and chocolate event we posted a couple weeks back.

While we can wrap our head around the foodie phenomenon, we agree with Tom Wark, and think that perhaps these people should find a partner they can love as much as wine.

Over at Food Musings, Catherine Nash confronts blog guilt and cooks up a bowl of chicken-corn soup to ward off the cold, dark night of the soul.

Stop the presses! The Chron has discovered that most store-bought spaghetti sauces aren't very good!

And it may be too late to take advantage of this sale, but a good reason to subscribe to Simply Recipes (among others) are the shopping alerts.

We here at SFist have long nursed the fantasy of leaving this tawdry city behind, starting our own farm and making cheese. Foodie Farm Girl actually did it. Because she left there's very little about the Bay Area and lots about farming in the heartland, hopefully enough to put our partner's worries to rest that we actually will chuck this tech thing behind and return to the soil.

Lastly, to all those who are reading this, and we know you are, give us a holler about your food blog! The ones we review regularly here are great, but we're always looking for more! And if you're already a regular, do you have some food blogs you read we don't include? Clue us in!

Hey Jacob

I think my blog Becks & Posh probably has the most comprehensive list of local food blogs in the Bay Area Food Blogs section of the the blog roll. I usually add at least two or three a week to it and if there are any missing its not for any reason other than I haven't discovered them yet.

Hope that helps.
Sam

Nice round up there, and yeah Becks and Posh has a very comprehensive list. I blog from India, mostly about easy to cook recipes for Bachelors, with my experience of having lived in hostels and bachelor pad since I was 10 lol. Do check out Bachelor Cooking

Actually, Epicurious Garden is open. I was there on Friday, went to Socca Oven. Yum!
