Bay Area Blog Pulse

Man, here we are all nostalgic listening to Endtroducing, and the blogosphere pays us back with some serious synchronicity -- all sorts of funky-fresh music! We're totally drooling over this new Soul Sides compilation from O-Dub, on vinyl no less! Kid Kameleon posts not one, not two, but three mixes from three different DJs, including one of his own. Mesh SF presents a "motherlode" of the 40oz. show. And while this is kinda old, we were reminded by Jason Schulz that Podbop will let you sample lots of bands that happen to be in town.

If your morning commute is more NPR than MF Doom, check out the second installment in Matt Lanning's local real estate podcast. Potrero Hill looks on in dismay as South East San Francisco becomes a haven for national chains and big boxes -- you can thank Prop 13 for that, kids. Kim Knox shares a heartwarming tale of life-changing community involvement in Oakland. And though Steve Kubby is still wasting away in jail, you can keep in touch on Myspace (nobody tell Rupert Murdoch).

Why are we not surprised that Peter Merholtz, who by most accounts coined the term 'blog,' is a Warriors fan? Didn't make the annual Mad Hatter's Tea Party at the Crackatory? Scott Beale's got you covered. The weather is sh*tty, and getting sh*ttier. And Brian Leport is merging his Fog City Narrative blog with his own.

Yet another bay area blog worth visiting, especially if you are attending the Cinequest film festival in San Jose.
