El Gordo Tips The Scales

We've heard a lot about China's 33 pound cat, and were feeling sort of itchy and jealous. How can we bring some of that fat cat glamour to the Bay Area?

Thank goodness SFst Rita tipped us off to Novato's El Gordo, who weighs 32 pounds, after a recent 10 pound weight loss. That's right, before going on his diet, this cat weighed 10 pounds more than China's celebrity cat. Bay Area RULEZ!

El Gordo continues to diet and exercise (though his diet is slow going, as "he keeps stealing food from the family's other pets") We're glad he's getting on the lo-cal kibble, because he seems like a nice "little" guy and we worry about his increased health risks at his current size. Perhaps a kitty-cat treadmill lies in El Gordo's future?
