Bay Area Blog Pulse

Hey, remember when SFist Rita asked for Manuel Jiminez' thoughts regarding The Daly's call for Bush's impeachment at the Board of Supervisors? Well, Manuel went and responded! There's nothing that SFist loves more than people actually paying attention. Left in SF notes that the work at Bernal Park starts tomorrow (and links to a Bernal neighborhood blog we hadn't seen before). Josh Wolf heads to a the federal building for a grand jury appearance in vain. And if you thought the Dykes on Bikes trademark case was over, think again.
We didn't make it to the Swearing Festival at Edinburgh Castle, but the much more erudite and prolific Edward Champion did. We did make it to the Geek Entertainment Television Party last Thursday, which was a blast -- here's the video from Eddie Codel. If you want to follow the Tour of California as it heads south, Tony Eason (who rides from here to LA every year for LifeCycle) posts the schedule. And Bacon Press says that the Oakland Museum's "White Elephant" thrift sale will be around until March 1st.
KQED's Bay Area Bites blog interviews Suzie Katzman, who manages one of SFist's favorites, Tommy's Joynt. Beth Spotswood and friend Big Chris think they can give better advice than Dear Abby, and we have to agree. The second issue of awesome local mag Hi Fructose is now available at a local bookstore near you. And who knew that the still smokin' hott Elizabeth Shue was married to a member of Creative Commons' board of directors? J.D. Lasica, that's who.
