Bay Area Blog Pulse

Rarely a day late, always a few dollars short.

Michael Strickland gets the headline of the day, with "Satanic Love Cult at City Hall." Leila at Hypnagogica spends Valentine's Day beating people with pillows and thinking about love. Scott Beale was there taking photos. Jane Kim spends it worried about Eddy Zheng's deportation hearing.

Lots and lots going on in urban development. A major landlord in Japantown wants to sell. Even more troubling are plans to declare almost the entirey of southeast San Francisco a "project area," or redevelopment zone. Because, you know, local redevelopment agencies did so well with The Fillmore. Public hearing on March 7th at City Hall.

El Lefty Malo takes a look at which local ballers will be playing in the World Baseball Classic (Mark Mulder pitching for the Dutch?). Markos Moulitsas will be kicking off his book tour at SXSW Interactive next month. Mickey Klein at the California Patriot takes issue with American drug policy. And Jameson muses once again on the maddness that is Muni.
