Wednesdays, The New Wednesdays

The new hot couple: Wednes-gelina! Tonight: Got apiarian tendencies? The San Francisco Beekeepers are having their monthly meeting tonight at the Randall Museum at 7:30. Past president Stan Williams will be reminiscing about his days in the club. Also -- looks like some unspecified drama on their bee-log!

ethnic_peony2web.jpgThursday: The Asian Art Museum is featuring performances of Chinese dances by local troupe Peony Performing Arts at 7 p.m, with music by the South Bay Chinese Orchestra. $10 to get in, includes museum admission. (They're also performing on Saturday at the public library, but that's outside our Wednesday bailiwick.)

and Friday: The Black Choreographers' Festival, "Here and Now: 2006," is kicking off its San Francisco performances tonight at Project Artaud (17th and Florida). Modern dancer Robert Moses, hip hop troupe Culture Shock Oakland, Central African dancers Fua dia Conga, and the Savage Jazz dance group will be performing, among others.
